It’s a grey morning out there,
and my wish is: lighten up!
It’s going to be another
high-pressure day at work,
and my wish is: lighten up!
There are some troubled
souls at work, and my
wish is again: lighten up!
– Leonard Blumfeld
Written in response to Sunday Scribblings #102: Smorgasbord. I helped myself to a serving of "Morning" and to another of "Three Wishes."
That's good advice! The sky where I live is taking that advice and lightening up. It's sunny! Yay! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a better place it would be if they'd heed your advice ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a good mantra for life. Lighten up.
ReplyDeleteYou've used one of my favourite and most used expressions! I often say it out loud when reading posts on other peoples blogs! Life is too short to take everything so seriously.
ReplyDeleteGood wishes, over here it's grey too and it makes people drowsy.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice. Hope they follow!
ReplyDeleteThe books I would write
the best advise i have heard all day.... i ought to make it my personal mantra!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your wonderful comments!
ReplyDeleteThe weather did lighten up some on Thursday. One issue hit the fan in a big way at work, and one of the troubled souls was very troubled. But I did survive it all quite well - perhaps because I'd told myself to lighten up.
Good advice. I think I will use it this next week. I am glad I stoppped by.
ReplyDeleteNice thoughts! Helping a child play miniature golf, I advised her to line up - a hole in one - she turned and said 'It helps to lighten up.' The wrong word, the right concept! Nice post!
