Out of chaos
came order –
one second,
one puzzle piece
of chaos was
put in order
for a second.
Or: somebody
saw order
in chaos,
a pattern
emerging,
somewhere –
for a second.

like the play/connection of chaos and order.
ReplyDeletePhew, maybe it's in
ReplyDeletethe space between!
Loved the way you played around the prompt.. and conveyed the remarkable concept of a pattern, emerging.
ReplyDeleteI loved how your words interchanged, yet it all still made sense. Very clever take on the prompt!
ReplyDeleteIt must be right there in that single second. I really like this one!
ReplyDeleteOrder and chaos...:)
ReplyDeletewhen there is chaos, order is needed, when order reigns, chaos attacks!
a hidden pattern.... ohhh so beautifully subtle..
ReplyDeleteNicely done. I like how your poem plays between order and chaos. I think the universe was born out of chaos, yet the laws of physics (as we know them) try to force an order to all things. If only physics worked within the mind.
ReplyDeletelove this. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments, all of you - I'm honored!
ReplyDeleteAll it takes is a second.
ReplyDeletewhat a delicate dance it is. ephemeral, exquisite...
