An unspoken conversation
J: How lovely she is. There's nothing about her I don't like. Her warm brown near-sighted eyes behind the glasses that give her that look between worry and surprise. Adorable. Cute hesitant smile. That giggle. The faint Slavic accent she has. At first I thought I disliked it. Now it's become endearing. I love the way she pronounces my name.
A: My little daughter fell in love with him at first sight, and he seemed quite natural with her. Attentive and interested. But he's just too old. So many wrinkles around his eyes. I like him all right. If he were ten years younger. Then, perhaps.
J: Enjoy whatever there is while it lasts. Just be there and enjoy her company.
A: I definitely would not want a relationship with someone almost certain to die much ahead of me. Being left alone again.
J: If she's even vaguely in love with me she hides it pretty well.
A: If you love me, which I halfway suspect, let me live in peace.
J: And how long will this feeling last? Let’s call it infatuation for now. To be on the safe side. Will most likely get over it. Will have to.

Inventing conversations for other people is delicious fun, no? Thanks so much for participating in CafeWriting. I generally wait a week, then put up the "participants post" which will then be frequently updated til the month in this case June, not May) changes.
I especially liked the line, "If you love me, which I halfway suspect, let me live in peace."
What lovely tensions of inner conversations!

What great tensions of inner conversations.
An interesting, psychological exploration of the questions and perspectives imbedded in inner realities.

That was lovely reading. I often invent conversations that I imagine people have when I people watch over coffee in cafes I frequent, but never thought of writing it down like you did.
Beautiful :-)
