Praying for the angels

I forget to pray for the angels
and then the angels forget to pray for us.
– Leonard Cohen ("So Long, Marianne")

Now would the angels really do that?

If biblical and other sources are correct, there is a finite, rather small number of angels. They must be very powerful to remember each one of us. And they must be in all places at all times.

Leon, like your last couple of posts and especially the fibs. There are 9 classes of angels:Cherubim, Seraphim, Dominations, Thrones, Powers, Virtues, Principalities, Archangels and Angels. They have a lot of duties and responsibilities. The Guardian Angels are the best known though.

It's interesting but nowhere does it say that angels pray for us and of course we don't need to pray for angels. But that's all right I like the lyrics anyway.

Thanks for visiting, Mary, and for your input on the various angelic hierarchies. Are the guardian angels from one specific class?
